Ben Loy is a graduate of the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at NYU and has studied double bass under Martin Wind and Jay Elfenbein. He plays electric fretted, fretless and acoustic double bass and is experienced in playing a wide variety of styles.

As a professional bassist, Ben has recorded and performed with Nick Palumbo and the Flipped Fedoras, Jeremy Borer, Mitch Vandoff, Mrs. Grundy and The Last Broadcast.

Ben has shared the stage with The Brotherhood of Groove, The New York Ska Jazz Ensemble, The Toasters, The Cherry Poppin' Daddies, and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.

He currently lives in Albany, CA.
